There are tons of websites out there that tell you just how to advertise your web site. You could submit your site to search engines, sigh other's guest books, and even pay others to advertise your site.

Is it worth it?

Many people who advertise wonder why people still don't visit their site. Why is my hit counter so low? There is one reason that people will come to your site: content. Original content.

The thing is that you just don't need people to come once...you need them to return and look for updates. You need them to tell others: "Hey, look, this is a cool webpage!" How do you do this? Make a page that is not only pleasing, but also interesting. Fill it with original content, and try to express yourself.
