You swim more, following the reef's curve (which surprises you because you never though a reef would curve like that) finding it almost like a pleasant stroll.
Something swims rather quickly in front of your eyes and then by your left ear. You turn left, thinking it might hover there, but it has gone. Whatever it is, it's small, fast, and hopefully a vegetarian.
Then you see it, floating above a crevice in the reef: a blue and purple sea horse. He's watching you as if he expects you to swim towards him. He doesn't seem too eager to talk, though. Perhaps you should just leave him be? Or maybe you should introduce yourself from a safe distance?
He makes a loud chirpping noise, almost reminding you that he's there.
