The Damaged Desert

Indrakshmi

You gladly hurry away from the raptors, walking far more quickly than you did before. However, you can't keep walking this fast; the sweat on your back has gotten much worse in the past few minutes. Finally tiring of your speed, you slow down.

When you're about twenty feet away, he shouts at you, "I am Indrakshmi! Who are you?"

Not walking to shout at this distance, you walk closer to him and then introduce yourself. He seems relieved that you are wandering through the desert.

"I just came from the valley. It's not too far now, I promise," he says gently. "I am a Deriss, and I am looking for some of my kin. If you see any of them, would you tell them that my word is tribne?"

When you tell him you will, he gives you a bow and then hurries off toward the caves.
