You pass into the cave, surprised at how bright it is inside. Parts of it are filled with obvious nestlike beds, which probably serve as places of rest. You finally come across two wolves, lounging in their beds.
The first jumps to his feet, almost as if to attack. The other laughs, perhaps at the first's outward sign of aggression. He sits, resting himself from the shock of seeing you.
"Sorry," he says. "I am not accustomed to non-pack members wandering into the cave. And others should do well to note that!" he hisses the last bit at his companion, who still has not moved from her bedding.
He gathers himself and says, "I am Jerelag, a hunter in this pack. This is..."
"Larigocia," she cuts him off. "And I am a far more reasonable wolf, and my occupation is a guard. But you've probably seen the plaque already."
Jerelag scoffs at her. "What do you mean far more reasonable? This person could have attacked us!"
"Right, so this one got past all the other wolves without them warning us? Right," she shakes her head. "We're off duty right now. That's one of the benefits to moving in with the rest of the pack. We get off-hours and time to play." She looks over at her companion.
Although he seems ruffled, he smiles at you and points you down into the cave. "There should be a few more of us, if you're willing to explore."
