You stand before a fortress made entirely of Wood and rock. You can tell that the fortress has been made from an area full of trees, and it has been made quite quickly. At least, thats what it appears; there are stumps all around from cut-down trees.
The tops of the walls, which are some twenty-five feet high, are sharpened. You can make out two towers, and a small box-like area, which is over the gates of the fortress. Perhaps that is where the door-openner is?
Before you can approach, a flicker of darkness makes you turn your head. Something draws nearer... no wait... the darkness lifts, and a large purple equine is standing next to the gates. You hurry forward.
At first he looks like he is going to run, but then he relaxes and smiles at you. "I am Ev'vanialeva, who are you?"
You promptly give an introduction, explaining that you're a wanderor wishing to explore the fortress. He nods.
"I suppose they'll let you in. I stay there sometimes, when I am tired or need good company. In any case, it's maintained by the elves. My magic is the abilitiy to contrl the darkness around me, which explains the meaning of my name, The Darkness Moves. However, during the day that can't disguise me well. So, if I sense danger, I return."
You ask, "Do you sense danger now?"
He ponders this question before he responds. "You see, wanderor, I always sense danger, but, no, right now I do not sense any immediate danger. I just need company." He turns and calls up, "Hello, old friends! I am Ev'vanialeve, returning for a visit. A wanderor is with me."
With that, the gates open.
