Sure enough, a little farther up you find another cat, beckoning you inside. This one is brown and long haired and seems a bit ruffled. She runs inside, and you follow her, wondering how many cats would be in here.
You are surprised to see that they all look very similar. Again, you see a sign that has various things on it. See a sign that says "FED" on it; you walk over and flip it, finding the other side reads "UNFED". Below it are four names: Kynah, Pagi, Elisiana, and Zi'Apano.
The long hair cat gets your attention by rubbing her head against your hand. You pat her, wondering why that white cat had not been so keen on letting him pet you. This one looks just like him.
You can tell that these cats are just like the others. There are four scratching posts, a chair (which you suspect is of more use to the visitors than the cats), four beds, and four dishes.
The other cats won't her have you all to herself. There are two siamese cats, the darker of which purrs loudly as she walks between your legs. The lighter one sits a few feet away, waiting for you to come to him. A white cat does the same, but she also purrs.
You make the rounds, petting each of them. They make good company. No wonder why so many residents of the fortress have pets! You wonder if all of their pets are like this.
