The Elven Fortress

Refugee Quarters

Vanquor

Sea Anaga

You find yourself nearing the end of the hall. You're a bit downtrodden that no one else wants to meet you, but you're happy about meeting so many. You hear the clip-clopping of hooves, but they're not from in front of you. They're from behind you.

You turn to see a collection of highly colorful equine, all of whom seem to know each other. They all survey you closely as they approach. You see that some of them are coming from different rooms. They must be too big and too numerous to share one room.

Silast

Varil

You introducing yourself, wanting to make a good impression upon them. By the time you're done talking, seven of them have gathered around you, all keeping a good three or four feet between you and themselves.

The first one, which is colored with pink and purple and has small wings, says, "We are the Leopaori of the Wood. I am Vanquor, and this," she guesters to the Leopaori on her left, which is blue, "is Sea Anaga."

The two identical twins step closer to you at the same time, smiling. "I am Silast," the one on the left says. "And this is my twin Varil." Both of them nod and they seem to be looking you over. Varil says, "We were wondering whether or not to meet you," he says while shaking his head.

Fili

Aroemar

"Yeah," says a banana-yellow Leopaori with wings. "We thought you might be a magic-person of sorts, but you don't seem to be the type."

"Well, not the evil type anyway," says the blue one next to them. He says, "My name is Aroemar. We were talking about meeting you after you talked to Amadra, because she sent word down the vine."

"The...vine?" you ask.

Zuron

"That's what the communication between the rooms is called. It works, but if one person doesn't want to send down the message, the vine is broken and no one else would get it." The seventh Leopaori steps forward as he speaks. "But that rarely happens."

They all goggle at you, as if you're some novelty that they've never seen before. "We're glad to have met you," the seventh one says. "I am Zuron by the way. Good luck on your travels."

Together, they all wish you good luck. With that, you leave.
