The Jaded Jungle

Galoeniel

Passing the centaurs, you continue on the path. The path has begun to straighten out and widen, as well as slope downward. There are a few places from which you have to jump before moving on.

As you jump down a short, steep hill you see another centaur: this one white and blond. She seems to be looking for something, and doesn't seem to notice you at first.

You approach her, and, at what you think is a respectful distance, you introduce yourself.

She turns around and starts, but she quickly regains her composure. "I am Galoeniel, and I'm looking for a fox. Have you see one?"

Zorix

Before you can even shake your head, another centaur, this one brown and red-headed, gallops into view. "I think I found him!"

They both turn and run down the path, and you follow, not sure what to do.

Sure enough, they stop a bit farther down the path, looking into the brambles. Galoeniel seems to be calling a name, but the other centaur turns to you.

"Oh, hello," she says, carelessly. "I'm Zorix. Glad to meet you."

She turns back to the brambles, and you can hear something wiggling inside. "Come on, Legeradien, come out! You can meet a wanderer!"

Legeradien

The movement stops for a few seconds, and then a small, brown head pokes out of the bushes. His big, blue eyes settle on you before a brown fox pops right out of the ground. He sits down, facing you, in the middle of the path.

"Do you have any idea how worried I was for you, Lege?" says Zorix, "We've been looking high and low for almost an hour!"

The fox seems completely unabashed. Galoeniel grabs him about the middle and looks up at you. "Thanks, wanderer."

"True," says Zorix. "We wouldn't have gotten him out for another hour had you not come. Thanks!"

With that, they both turn and gallop up the path, leaping up the slopes much more quickly than you ever could.
