Title

The Looming Layer

Terasith the Brown

Kipper Blue Flitter

You head to the left and see a wide, open tunnel that leads down a set of openings in the rock face. As you pass them, you see that the area is well lit. It's also ablaze with noise and life, as if the wall you just passed to get into the tunnel was sound proof. It feels like a rather busy, dragon-filled mall.

The first cave you approach is particulary noisy and high-pitched. You see a small blue dot flying around a huge brown dragon. Obviously, the dragon is not amuzed, and he hisses and growls at every movement and sound that the blue creature makes.

"Stop it!"

You turn your head toward the outer door and see a pale young man. He looks forlon...no, actually, just very tired...and his pale green eyes shimer. His hair is brown, too.

"The two of you!" he steps in. When he spots you he shakes his head. "Look, even in front of guests!" The two quiet down and dissapate.

He addresses you. "Sorry for my rudeness, wanderor." He nods. "You can call me N'mak, and this is the Brown Terisith. That blue flit over there," he growls, "is called Kipper."

Chiiiirp!

He shakes his head. "Lately they have been a real strain. I suppose it's because we've had to travel a lot lately, and we just recently settled down in the layr. But, still, you think we could have some kind of peace and quiet."

Terasith sits back, and Kipper lands on his shoulder. It looks as if he is staring at N'mak, who stares back. You're about to leave when N'mak turns to you. "Sorry about that, riders and their dragons can communicate telepathically. Terasith wanted to tell you welcome, and appologizes for the fact that he appears silly." N'mak smiles. "He is glad to have visitors, but we need to leave soon. Sorry about that."
