The door opens noiselessly as you press on it, opening into a room full of fish. Literally, it is teeming with fish! Everywhere you look you see bettas. Blue, purple, red, yellow, black, green...all the colors swirl around this room.
A few of them are looking at you, and you realize you must have been pretty rude. You opened the door without knocking, you've entered and quawked at them for a few minutes, and you haven't even introduced yourself yet!
You quickly remedy that by explaining that you're a wanderor. You then proceed to compliment them on their colors; they are quite shocking. None of them look too pleased to hear this. It's as if they're sick of hearing it.
"That's what all the wanderors say," the back-and-white one says.
Four more bettas swim toward the others. These are all female. They don't seem to be happy with you, either. The blue female says, "That's the only reason people visit us. Oh, look, there they are, pretty fish. Like we're worthless otherwise. What would happen to use if we ugly?"
You appologize, explaining that you never meant to be offensive, but none of the fish seem to care. They all turn their fishy tails toward you and stop talking.
