Indeed, this place is filled with bugs. Why, the next part of the orchard (next to a row of apple trees) has so many dragon flies that you can barely see. They buzz around you excitedly, as if they're trying to talk. You try to catch a glimspe of them, but they all move so quickly it's hard to keep up!
It is quite apparent, however, that they cannot talk. While they fly around and make a funny chirping noise, none of them speaks in a language you undersand. Of course, that could be because they don't speak your language. No matter; they're still entertaining to watch.
There is a noise, almost like a horn, but somewhat like a whistle, that sounds. All of the dragonflies pair off and land on nearby trees. Each of them grabs a bit of the fruit (apples) and nibbles on it. Perhaps someone was announcing feeding time?
They picked a good time, because now you can examine the flies and look at their lovely patterns. Some have solid, blended colors, while others have spots and patterns. Some even have changing colors or glow brightly. And they all like apples, apparently.
You move to leave and see six more dragonflies buzzing around, as if waiting to show themselves off. Indeed, this last batch seem to be quite different. One is almost see through, while another glows, and another appears to be on fire.
You also notice one gittering a lot, although you can't see why. Perhaps that one had too much caffine? Do dragonflies eat caffinated things? This one must of! But you're distracted now by the rest of the orchard, which must have more than just dragonflies, so you walk on and look back a few times to see the last of them.
