No sooner than you set off again than you meet another creature. While she is roughly the size of Tesur, she's nowhere near as frightening. Perhaps the lack of blood red claws is the main factor. She approaches you slowly and with a smile.
"Hello there," she says, "I am Darkened Dance."
Well, that would indeed explain why she reminded you of Tesur! She continues, "I am a Leagus, and there are a few more of us in the Wood, most of us are here in the Rainforest. Would you like to meet them?"
You glance around, "Where are they?"
"Well, you'll have to follow me to the Leagus Path." She turns and points up to where the pathway forks, one quite clearly still the main path while the other is obviously less traveled. "I will make sure you get back to the main path as soon as you are done meeting my kin. But, if you'd rather not, I understand. Times are dark now."
You realize that there is another path, closer to you than the fork. Was this the path that the other creature was referring to? Perhaps. It seems you have three options, and only one has guaranteed safety. Where now?
