It's getting hotter, you think to yourself, as the trees begin to thin out. You can see the volcano now, looming over you as if trying to scare you away. But, you're almost there, why turn back now?
A rustling of brush takes away your attention from the volcano. You look and see a canine, blue with purple and white spots. She seems to be looking you over, wondering what to do with you. She doesn't look extremely dangerous, though, so you introduce yourself.
"I know," she says softly. "I heard you telling someone back there about it. Did you want half the valley to hear?"
She has a calm but bossy voice. She walks out onto the path so that you can see her clearly. "I am Bloryn," she says, "Alpha female and Forlit."
Perhaps this would seem special to some, but you don't know exactly what she is or what that means, so you just nod to show that you've understood.
She doesn't seem bothered by it, however, and she looks up at the volcano. "When you go there, make sure you don't bother any of them. Unlike a lot of creatures in the Wood, there are some there that will harm or eat you."
