You pass away from the open area and find this place to be like a tunnel, except there are caves carved out of the walls in some places. In front of them, sometimes, are doors or curtains, making you wonder if someone lives there. You come to one which is brighter than the others, so you walk over to investigate.
"What are you doing here, wanderor?" calls a deep, harsh male voice.
You look up and see that this particular cave has a ledge about ten feet in the air, where a feline with flames upon his back is now resting. You feel the place getting hotter, but is that the magic of the volcano or the feline?
You introduce yourself, realizing that he doesn't seem to happy to see you.
He growls, "Leave now. Do not follow me."
He jumps down from the ledge and walks out to where you have just come from. Perhaps he is investigating where you came from? Either way, it doesn't seem like a good idea to follow him. For one, it's definately getting hotter, and, secondly, he doesn't seem the type to cross.
As you go to leave, however, you see a small plaque on the ledge he just jumped from. Perhaps a peek at it wouldn't hurt...
