You struggle ahead further and find that there is a small feline lying down on the ground, almost waiting for you. She smiles a rather toothy grin and waves you over, calling, "You're the one whose causing this ruckus, eh? Well, you just move along down that passage and you'll be fine."
She points to another passage, which clearly leads outward and downard. "That will take you to the foot of the mountains, and, as they say, Flare's word is as good as fire."
She chuckles. "Of course, that jar right there might have something interesting in it for you. What don't you look into it while you go?"
