You stumble through a suddenly flat, sandy area. You would take in more, but your eyes discover a huge, red creature with silver wings lying on a large, wide bench made of rock. You can see that he is quite comfortable, as if spread out over several pillows and such.
You introduce yourself, and his eyes pass over you, uncaring of your prescence. He huffs a bit and flicks his silver-grey tail.
With a bit of a pause, you begin to feel uncomfortable. "I am Polgaeger," he says. "Welcome to the Overwhelming Oasis. I suppose you've come here to find some relaxation?"
"Being of unknown parentage, I have no family. I do have close friends who are close enough to be considered family..." he pauses. "By that I mean, I watch over this area, knowing that it is safe. I am to keep out predators. Are you a predator?"
You assure him that you are not, and he nods. "Very well, feel free to enter."
