The path is not entirely well made, as plants seem to have grown over it a bit, but you find otherwise that your walk is pleasant, however slow. The heat, however, is beginning to make you feel hot and muggy. Perhaps it shall rain soon?
A flutter of wings makes you look up, where you see, a black gryphon of medium size landing. He seems a bit proper, or perhaps he simply does not wish to speak to you. But he bows and says, "I am Celisti, a Pather Leaf Chiropetra Gryphon, beta with Medium Earth magic."
It sounds to you as if he had the thing memorized for introduction, as he says it very fast and you can barely make out the last bit about magic. You smile and introduce yourself, trying to be as polite as possible.
He makes a noise and then seats himself, pondering you for a minute. "So, you're just exploring? You're not moving in?"
"No, I'm not," you say firmly.
You half expected him to be disappointed, but he jumps up and walks over to you, lowering his voice to a whisper. "I think you might like to meet a friend of mine. She might be of great help to you if you are trying to defeat someone, if you know what I mean. You'll have to go up this path until you met another leagus; her name is Darkened Dance. Step off of the road and then follow these instructions. Go straight until you see a fallen log, then go right, right, and right. You will find a cabin." He bows.
As he turns to leave, "He might ask who has sent you. You must tell him this: noone, as one word."
With that, he leaves. Was this what Tesur was warning you about? With a shudder, you walk along the path.
