Sandwind Seashore

Gaeldrak

A wind whips at your face, hitting you with salty bits of sand. You see that the seashore runs much closer to the ocean than the beach. The beach was perhaps a half mile or a mile wide, while this is certainly not even a quarter mile wide.

"What do we have here, eh?" a voice asks.

The rocky landscape makes it hard to see someone if they're there. You quickly introduce yourself and wait for a reply. A small feline leaps onto a nearby rock, purring a bit loudly.

"I am Gaeldrak, pleased to meet you!" he says.

You ask him about the local area, namely the seashore. You ask him what else is close besides the ocean, and what lives here.

It takes a few minutes of thought before he replies. "I know there is an artic somewhere, but I don't think you can reach it from the beach or the seashore. I know that there is the Mountain Forest, which is at the end of the seashore, but that's all....except..." He pauses. "Well, you see, you cannot reach them from anywhere else but the seashore and the underground, maybe the artics as well...I do not know. But they're nameless."

"What are?" you press, wondering what he means.

"Well, you see, that's the problem. There's really no describing them. There are trees, rocks, open areas, rivers, mires, mountains, sand... it's as if there was something meant to form there, but the magic messed up so instead it turned into a semi-wasteland. Nothing can really survive there, I don't think..."

You ask him how he knows this.

He replies simply, "I travel."
