While the path is steady, it tends to wind and become wider and thinner in different parts, as if the person making the path got lazy. As you enter into a particularly thin part of the path, where you arms and hair get snagged with brambles, you hear a soft, simple buzzing, not unlike bees.
Bees, however, aren't a very comforting thought, especially not in an area as tight as this one. You continue on, making sure to look around carefully.
Unfortunately, the path is still thinning, as if it will come to a pointed end! You finally have to stop because in order to pass through the next part of the path, you have to turn sideways. However, you can see at just beyond the other side that there is an opening as soon as you get there.
Sighing, you turn sideways and walk in.
The buzzing gets stronger, but you make it to the other side, relieved to be there. Looking around, you finally see what has been causing all the noise. Three small dragon flies... no, wait--dragons with insect wings!--are flying around in this part of the path.
None of them seem very keen on seeing you at all. However, they do seem to be interested in you, as if they've never seen anyone like you before. They don't approach at all, but they do keep zipping down by you periodically.
Finally, feeling quite foolish, you introduce yourself and explain how you've gotten to this point. All of them continue to hover, shoulder-height, in front of you. They all turn their heads when you say the word "wanderer" and they seem doubly interested when you tell them about the jungle.
Finally, the brightest of the three, a brilliant white with rainbow markings, says, "We are Dragonmoths, actually... we've not had too many wanderers through the jungle. Not since it shifted, anyway." She doesn't seem to want to come closer, and the green Dragonmoth flies away and hides in the brambles.
The final Dragonmoth, who is a blue color, approaches you. He says, "I'm Haaven. We're not fond of new faces around here, and you've come very close to our nest... we're going to try to move it." He pauses, as if thinking if he should continue to speak. "You seem all right, travelor, we just can't take any chances. You understand, right?"
He looks over to the rainbow Dragonmoth and they fly away together, leaving you on the path, which has become much wider.
